App Store availability index, October 2026
fomo is listed in 47 of the 50 App Store countries we checked. That number on its own is a shrug. What makes it worth a page is where the gaps line up once you check four other apps the same way: the two apps missing from the United Kingdom are the two newest listings in the set, and the three that are present are the three oldest.
The finding: the UK gap is not fomo's alone
fomo's absence from the UK App Store has been on this site since 12 October 2026, when a one-off check of the same 50 storefronts found it missing from the UK, Russia and China and present in the other 47. One company withholding one app from one market is a business decision, and not much of a story.
Moonshot is missing from the UK too. Two unrelated companies, both absent from one of the richest English-speaking markets on earth, while the other three apps in this edition are all on sale there. That is a pattern rather than a decision, and it is the kind of thing a single-app check cannot see.
Not on the UK App Store
- Moonshot first listed 2 Jul 2024
- fomo first listed 18 Apr 2025
On the UK App Store
- Coinbase: Buy Crypto & Stocks first listed 22 Jun 2014
- Coinbase Wallet first listed 27 Sept 2017
- Phantom: Trading Wallet first listed 30 Jan 2022
The dates are the interesting column. The Financial Conduct Authority's financial promotion regime for cryptoasset firms took effect in October 2023, and it sets registration, risk warning and cooling-off requirements for anyone marketing crypto to UK consumers. Both apps missing from the UK were first published after that date. All three that are present were published before it, Phantom by about twenty months and Coinbase by nine years.
That is a correlation across five apps, and five is not many. None of the five companies has published a word about any App Store country, so nobody has confirmed the reason and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. What the correlation does buy is a prediction worth testing: if the UK rules are what is doing the work, then apps first listed after October 2023 should keep turning up absent from the UK as this index adds them, and older ones should not. That is checkable in the next edition, which is the only reason to publish a dated series instead of a single page.
What this does not tell you
- Nothing about funding. Apple selling you a download has no bearing on whether your bank, your card or Apple Pay will move money into the app. Several of these apps lean on US payment rails that simply do not exist elsewhere.
- Nothing about the app's own rules. fomo, for one, states that perpetual futures are not available to U.S. Persons even though the app is listed in the US storefront. An app's terms can exclude you from a country it ships to.
- Nothing about Android. This is an iOS measurement. Google Play's web pages render for every country regardless of availability, so they cannot be used the same way. Treat an iOS absence as a strong hint about a company's intentions, not proof about Play.
- Nothing about legality. An app on sale where you live is not advice that using it is lawful or wise, and an app missing where you live is not an invitation to switch storefronts to reach it.
- Nothing permanent. This is one API on one day. Storefront listings get added and pulled without announcement, which is the reason for the date in the heading and for re-running the whole thing rather than patching a table.
The full matrix
5 apps across 50 storefronts on 20 Oct 2026. "Listed" means Apple returned the app's own listing for that storefront. "Not listed" means a clean, successful request returned nothing. A failed request would read "not checked"; there are none in this edition. On a narrow screen the table scrolls sideways.

46 of 50 storefronts

Three things in there are worth more than the headline. The first is that China mainland is the only storefront that sells none of the five, which is Apple's own long-running pattern with crypto apps rather than anything these five companies chose.
The second is that Russia is not a blanket block. It drops fomo and Moonshot but keeps Phantom, Coinbase Wallet and the main Coinbase app. The usual shorthand, that Apple's Russian storefront is simply restricted, does not survive contact with five apps checked the same day.
The third is the oddest. Coinbase's self-custodial wallet travels further than its exchange app. Coinbase Wallet is listed in 49 storefronts and the main Coinbase app in 46, with Japan, Indonesia and Egypt taking the wallet but not the exchange. That is the opposite of the intuition that holding customer funds is the easy part and self-custody is the regulatory problem. Coinbase publishes no per-storefront list that we could check this against, so the finding stands without an explanation attached. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a guess.
Moonshot is also absent from Romania, Turkey and Ukraine, and those fit no regime we can point at. Three mid-sized European markets with little in common regulatorily is the sort of result that usually means a commercial or a payments decision, and we are flagging it as unexplained rather than reaching for a story.
Two apps with no row: Axiom and Photon
Both get asked about constantly, and neither is in the table. The reason is the same in both cases: there is no first-party iOS app to look up.
- Axiom. No first-party iOS app found. A search of the US storefront for "axiom", "axiom trade" and "axiom crypto" returns nothing published by Axiom: the closest hits are "Axiom - Social Trading" by Carret Labs LLC and "Axiom Trading" by an individual developer, neither of which is axiom.trade. Including either would put an unrelated app in the table, so Axiom has no row.
- Photon. Photon is a browser terminal. A search of the US storefront for "photon", "photon sol" and "photon trading solana" returns no app published by its operator, so there is nothing to look up per storefront. Apps named Photon in the store belong to unrelated companies.
Putting a lookalike app in a table like this would be worse than leaving a blank. Anyone reading an availability index is one tap from installing something, and a row that points at the wrong developer is how people hand their keys to a stranger. Our page on fake fomo apps covers that failure mode in detail, and the comparison of fomo against Photon explains why Photon is a browser terminal rather than an app in the first place.
What changed since the previous edition
Nothing, because this is the first edition. There is no earlier run of this index to compare against, and any sentence here claiming a trend would be invented. From the next edition on, this section will carry the diff: storefronts gained, storefronts lost, and apps added to the set.
One partial comparison does exist. The one-off fomo check published on this site on 12 October 2026 used the same 50 storefronts and the same endpoint, and found the same three absences: the UK, Russia and China. Eight days later, unchanged. That is a small thing, but it is the difference between a reading and a measurement, and it is why the fomo row starts with more confidence than the other four.
How to repeat this check
You do not need an API key, an account, or anything from us. Apple's lookup endpoint takes an app's numeric ID and a country code and tells you whether that storefront sells it:
https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=6741115427&country=gb&entity=software
A storefront that sells the app returns one result with the publisher's name in it. A
storefront that does not returns resultCount: 0. Swap the country code to move
around the world; swap the ID to change app. fomo is 6741115427, and the IDs for the other
four are in the cards above.
The one trap worth naming, because getting it wrong would make the whole exercise worthless, is that a failed request looks exactly like an absence if you are careless. Apple throttles, and a throttled request returns no app just as convincingly as an empty storefront does. Our collector treats only a successful, well-formed response with an empty result set as an absence, retries anything else up to five times, and marks a cell that never resolves as not checked. It also refuses to call a run complete while any cell is unresolved. If you build your own, build that distinction in first.
Full method, as recorded in the data file: One request per app per storefront to Apple's public lookup endpoint, https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=<trackId>&country=<cc>&entity=software. A storefront that sells the app returns its listing; one that does not returns an empty result set. Failed requests are retried up to five times and recorded as not checked, never as absent.

Before you act on any of this
An index of which memecoin apps ship to which country is not a shopping list. Everything in the table is a venue for high-risk speculation, not investing, and most people who trade memecoins lose money. Nothing here is financial advice. If an app is missing where you live, changing your App Store region to reach it is where people lose access to their funds rather than gain access to an app: our page on fomo app availability by country goes through which workarounds are legitimate, and fomo app alternatives covers what else does ship to the UK.
Competitor facts on this page are limited to what Apple's public endpoint returned on 20 Oct 2026 plus each company's own published pages. No app in this index has been installed or tested by us, and nothing here describes how any of them behaves in use.
