Is the fomo app safe?

The checks worth doing before you put money anywhere.

. 7 pages in this section.

Legitimate and safe are different questions, and the pages here keep them apart. fomo is a real company with named founders and disclosed funding, which settles the first question and not the second: a real app can still lose you money, and the most expensive mistakes in this space are made by people who verified the company and then downloaded an impersonation of it. These pages cover the company, the fakes, and what happens when the app itself stops working.

  1. Is the fomo app legit? Safety, custody and red flags explained

The direct answer, with the self-custody and wallet details that decide what an outage can and cannot cost you.

  2. fomo app review (2026): fees, safety and who it is for

The long assessment: what the app does well, what it does badly, and who should not use it at all.

  3. Who owns the fomo app? FOMO Labs, founders and funding

Who owns it, who founded it, how much it has raised, and why no net worth figure appears here.

  4. Fake fomo apps and impersonation scams: what is confirmed and what is not

The impersonations, and the publisher-name check that catches all of them in about ten seconds.

  5. Is there a fomo airdrop?

There is no fomo token and no announced airdrop. This page exists because the pages claiming otherwise want your wallet connected.

  6. fomo app not working? Status, outages and support

For outages: what is broken, what is your connection, and what is worth worrying about.

  7. How this site checks its facts

How this site decides what it will and will not publish, including the things it refuses to write. Read it if you want to know how much weight to put on the rest.

Three checks worth doing before you fund anything

Check the publisher name on the store listing, not the icon or the screenshots. Every fake-app case that did real damage in 2026 was published under a company name with no connection to the product it imitated, and the name was visible the whole time. On iOS the real listing reads fomo - never miss out, with a hyphen.

Check that the app is actually sold in your country. If it is not in your storefront, anything that looks like it is something else, and a sideloaded build of a crypto wallet is the worst possible place to take a risk.

Check that you can export your key before you need to. Self-custody only means something if you have confirmed the exit exists, and the time to find out is not the day the app stops loading.

What legitimate does not mean

fomo is a real company: named founders, disclosed funding, public press coverage. That settles whether it is a scam. It settles nothing about whether you will lose money, and those two questions get conflated constantly by pages whose purpose is to get you to sign up.

A legitimate app can still have outages, can still be blocked where you live, can still list a token that turns out to be a honeypot, and can still be the vehicle for a loss you chose. The leaderboard shows the winners. It does not show the distribution.

What this section cannot tell you

This site is unofficial and earns a referral fee when someone signs up through it, which is disclosed on every page carrying a link. That is exactly why the methodology page exists, and why the pages that would be most profitable to oversell are the ones written most carefully.
