Best mobile apps to trade memecoins in 2026

Of the best mobile apps to trade memecoins in 2026, the fomo app is our number one. It runs on iOS and Android, takes Apple Pay, trades memecoins on six chains from one balance with gas included, gives you a self-custody wallet without a seed phrase to lose, and puts a feed of other traders’ buys and sells on the home screen.
Behind it, in order: Phantom, Moonshot, Jupiter Mobile, the pump.fun app, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet and Robinhood. Each is good at something fomo isn’t, and each has a catch.
This ranking is research-based. It comes from each app’s own store listing, help pages and announcements, plus coverage in The Block, CoinDesk and Decrypt, not from our own trades. We earn a referral share from fomo and from none of the others, and we don’t print competitor fee numbers because we haven’t verified them. Trading memecoins is high-risk speculation on every app here. Most people who do it lose money, and nothing on this page is financial advice.
How we ranked the apps
A memecoin app lives or dies on a phone, so we scored each one on the things that matter there:
- A real native app on both iOS and Android, from a publisher you can verify.
- Funding with regular money (Apple Pay, card or bank), not only crypto from another wallet.
- Who holds the keys, and how easy it is to lose access.
- Which chains it trades memecoins on, and whether you need a separate wallet or gas token for each.
- Tools for finding coins and cutting through noise.
- Restrictions: countries, features switched off in the US or UK, or an app store listing that has disappeared.
1. fomo: the best mobile app for trading memecoins
fomo is a social crypto trading app made by FOMO Labs, founded in 2025 by Paul Erlanger, Se Yong Park and Prashan Dharmasena, who all previously worked at dYdX. It has raised about $94 million, most recently a $75 million Series B led by Index Ventures in June 2026 at a reported valuation of about $550 million. The app is phone-first: the web version exists, but fomo itself calls it “not a trading terminal”.
Built for one hand and a short attention span
Most of what makes fomo good on a phone is what it removes. There is no seed phrase screen, no chain picker, no gas token to top up and no bridge. You sign up with an email code or Apple ID, fomo says it takes under 30 seconds, and there is no KYC at signup. A self-custody wallet powered by Privy is created in the background, and your phone’s Face ID or fingerprint protects it.
From there, trading is search or tap, quick buy, confirm. Trades route through DFlow, which fomo says protects against MEV, the bots that jump in front of your order and sell back to you at a worse price. On memecoins with thin liquidity that matters more than most people realize.
Money in: Apple Pay first
This is where fomo beats the wallets further down this list. You can fund with Apple Pay, and fomo says the money is available immediately. You can also use a debit card (fast, but some banks block crypto purchases), an ACH bank transfer (free, 1 to 5 days per fomo’s FAQ) or a crypto transfer. The Block reported in September 2026 that fomo users can also pay by credit card through Apple Pay or Google Pay via Crossmint. At its Series B, fomo said more than 68,000 people had bought crypto for the first time on fomo through Apple Pay. Details and the small print are in how to deposit on the fomo app.
One balance, six chains
fomo lists Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad and Robinhood Chain. Your balance works on all of them, gas is included, and you never pick a network before buying. When a memecoin run moves from Solana to Base or BNB Chain, you follow it without setting anything up. Most wallets on this list can technically reach several chains too, but you manage separate assets and gas on each.
The feed is the product
Open most trading apps and you see a price chart. Open fomo and you see traders. There is a feed of what people are buying and selling, a leaderboard of profitable accounts, alerts when traders you follow make a move, short “theses” explaining why someone bought, and threaded comments on each coin page with holder details. At the Series B, fomo reported more than 625,000 users and over 110 million social interactions.
On a small screen, that feed does the filtering for you. Instead of scrolling thousands of fresh launches, you see which coins people with a public track record are actually trading. The honest warning: a leaderboard shows who got lucky recently, not who will be right next week. Our fomo copy trading guide explains why following other traders blindly is how beginners lose money fastest.
Busy enough to matter
Decrypt reported that fomo processed about $2.38 billion of trading volume in the week to 7 September 2026, the largest of any onchain trading terminal that week, citing data posted on X. fomo also reported $4 billion of cumulative volume at its Series B in June. For a memecoin trader, activity means coins are discussed on the app while they are moving, not after.
What it costs
About 0.45% per spot trade, gas included, and the confirm screen shows the exact fee before you commit. Perps are 0.05% plus protocol fees. fomo app fees explained runs the numbers on real trade sizes, including slippage, which on small coins is often the bigger cost.
Perps outside the US
Since June 2026 fomo has offered perpetual futures on crypto, some US stocks, indices and commodities, powered by Hyperliquid and Trade[XYZ]. They are not available to U.S. Persons. Leverage on a phone is a fast way to lose a whole deposit, so treat it as a separate product.
Getting your money out
fomo says bank withdrawals arrive within 3 business days, first-time withdrawals may need extra verification, and large amounts may get a review. Because the wallet is self-custodial, you can also send crypto to an external wallet. See how to withdraw money from the fomo app.
The catches
- You can’t launch your own coin on fomo, as far as anything fomo publishes shows.
- Stop-loss orders are confirmed on perps but not yet confirmed for spot memecoins, so check the app.
- fomo.family doesn’t mention an independent security audit, and fomo itself says “no platform is immune to all risks”. Our is the fomo app legit page weighs it up.
- Card purchases can still be declined by your bank.
How to start
Download “fomo - never miss out” by FOMO Labs from the App Store or Google Play. Don’t use APK mirrors. Sign up with an email code or Apple ID, enter the referral code cryptofree, add money with Apple Pay and buy your first coin from the feed or search. The how to use the fomo app guide walks through each screen.
2. Phantom
Phantom is the wallet most Solana users already have, and its App Store listing says more than 20 million people use it. It has turned into a capable trading app: a built-in swapper, cross-chain swaps, an Explore tab with trending tokens, a social feed where you can follow traders’ wallets and see live activity, and token chat. It also offers perps through Hyperliquid, prediction markets and a desktop app called Phantom Terminal.
Chains, per Phantom’s help centre: Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, Polygon, HyperEVM, Robinhood Chain and Arc. BNB Chain is listed as not supported, which matters if you trade BNB memecoins. Funding is broad: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and bank transfer. You can create a wallet with a seed phrase, or sign in with Google or Apple plus a PIN and still export a recovery phrase later. Phantom also has scam and phishing warnings and Ledger support.
The restrictions sit on the extras: Phantom’s help centre says perps aren’t available in the US or UK, and tokenized stocks are blocked in several countries.
Compared with fomo, Phantom is the better general wallet and just as easy to fund. fomo is more focused on memecoins, covers BNB Chain, bundles gas into the fee instead of making you hold each chain’s token, and makes other traders the center of the app rather than a tab.
Who it suits: people who want one wallet for everything, including memecoins.
3. Moonshot
Moonshot is the plainest memecoin app here, and that is its selling point. It was built by the DEX Screener team, launched in June 2024, and Jupiter took a majority stake in January 2025, according to Blockworks. Moonshot says it has more than 2 million users.
On iOS and Android, you fund with Apple Pay, a debit or credit card or a bank transfer (per its App Store listing), and since April 2026 it also accepts crypto deposits from nine chains through MoonPay. The wallet is self-custodial and you can export your keys. Beyond memecoins it offers tokenized stocks and leveraged trading on BTC, ETH and SOL through Jupiter Perps, but Moonshot says leverage isn’t available in the US, the UK, Canada and several other countries.
What it doesn’t have is much around the trade. Moonshot is mainly a Solana app. There is no trader feed, leaderboard or theses, so you need to know what you want to buy.
Don’t confuse it with Moonit, DEX Screener’s token launchpad, which also used the Moonshot name at one point.
Compared with fomo, Moonshot matches it on the card and Apple Pay on-ramp and is simpler still. fomo adds five more chains and the social layer that helps you decide what to buy.
Who it suits: first-time buyers who want to get one Solana memecoin with a card and nothing else.
4. Jupiter Mobile
Jupiter Mobile is the phone app from Jupiter, the Solana swap aggregator that also owns a majority of Moonshot. It is Solana-only and aims at more active traders: it has limit orders and recurring buys, charts, a real-time screener and a token-safety signal Jupiter calls Organic Score. Its most phone-friendly trick is Magic Scan, which finds a token from a screenshot, pasted text or a shared post, handy when someone drops a ticker in a group chat.
Funding: Apple Pay, Google Pay and cards, per Jupiter’s page, and the App Store listing mentions its own on-ramps and off-ramps. You can sign up with an Apple ID without a seed phrase. There is also a Jupiter card for spending USDC, and a built-in browser with security scanning.
A real risk with this one is fakes. Search results show other “Jupiter” wallet listings in both stores. The official iOS app is published by Raccoon Labs, so check the developer name before you install.
Compared with fomo, Jupiter Mobile is the stronger pure Solana tool, with more order types and screening. fomo covers six chains and is built around people instead of screens.
Who it suits: Solana-only traders who want limit orders and serious token screening in their pocket.
5. The pump.fun app
pump.fun is where many Solana memecoins are born, and its app lets you launch coins and trade them from your phone, including coins still on their launch curve. You can fund with Apple Pay or a card, send SOL, deposit USDC, ETH or USDT from several chains, or connect an external wallet, according to pump.fun’s help centre. The store listing describes the wallet as self-custodial. If you log in through email or Apple, you can export the private key but not a seed phrase. In September 2026 pump.fun also launched Custom Pairs, which lets new coins be priced in tokenized stocks, wrapped BTC or ETH, or metals.
The catch right now is availability. In September 2026, crypto news sites reported that the iOS app had been removed from the US and India App Stores, a day after Custom Pairs launched. Existing installs reportedly still work, the Android app is still listed, and pump.fun’s head of mobile said the iOS app would return. Check your store before planning around it.
The other catch is volume. Tens of thousands of coins launch on pump.fun on busy days, and nearly all of them go nowhere. The app gives you the firehose, not a filter.
Compared with fomo: pump.fun is where you go to launch or to buy in the first minutes. fomo is where you trade coins that already have a market, across more chains. Our pump.fun alternatives page goes into this in detail.
Who it suits: coin creators and very early buyers on Android, or on an iPhone that already has it installed.
6. Coinbase Wallet
Coinbase’s self-custody app has had a messy year and a half. It was renamed Base App in July 2025 and rebuilt around social features, then renamed back to Coinbase Wallet on 10 September 2026 after, in The Block’s words, the social experiment fell short. The feed, mini-apps and messaging have been removed or scaled back. We compare the two directly in fomo app vs Coinbase.
What is left is a solid multi-chain trading wallet. The Block lists 11 chains: Base, Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Monad, Robinhood Chain, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon and Avalanche. Coinbase says you can trade millions of assets, including memecoins and long-tail tokens, with candlestick charts, limit orders and position management. There are Hyperliquid perps, prediction markets and tokenized stocks, and you can follow traders. It is self-custody with no KYC. Coinbase’s on-ramp supports Apple Pay guest checkout for eligible purchases, but check which funding options appear in the renamed app in your country. Some products are limited by region, including for US users.
Coinbase also bought Vector, a Solana memecoin trading app, in November 2025 to build faster trading of new Solana tokens, and shut Vector’s own apps down.
Compared with fomo, Coinbase Wallet has the brand and more chains. fomo has the social layer Coinbase just stepped back from, and it bundles gas into the trading fee.
Who it suits: people who trust the Coinbase name and want one self-custody wallet across many chains.
7. Trust Wallet
Trust Wallet is the widest wallet here: its App Store listing claims more than 100 blockchains and 10 million assets, with a 4.7 rating from about 199,000 reviews. It is self-custody.
For memecoins its standout is BNB Chain. Since October 2025 a “Meme Rush” tab inside Swap lets you trade Binance Wallet Meme Rush and Four.meme tokens, including coins that haven’t graduated from their launch curve yet. You can paste any contract address to trade a token, there is a Trending tab, limit orders on swaps arrived in June 2026, and perps run through Hyperliquid and Aster. Trust Wallet says Meme Rush may not be available in some jurisdictions, and that perps aren’t available in all regions.
Funding goes through third-party providers. The App Store listing names Coinbase Pay and Binance Pay; check what shows up in your country.
Compared with fomo, Trust Wallet reaches far more chains and gets you into BNB launches earlier. fomo is simpler, puts gas in the fee and gives you the trader feed.
Who it suits: BNB Chain memecoin traders and people who hold assets on many chains.
8. Robinhood
Robinhood is on this list because a lot of people’s first memecoin is bought there, but it is a different kind of app. It is a custodial broker: Robinhood holds the coins and you don’t get private keys, though you can send crypto to and from outside wallets.
The list is curated. Robinhood’s US coin list includes DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, BONK, WIF, FLOKI, POPCAT, PNUT, PENGU, MOODENG, MEW and TRUMP, and FLOKI, TRUMP and PNUT can’t be traded in New York. In the EU the list is shorter, with DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, BONK and WIF among 65-plus coins. You won’t find anything launched this week.
Don’t confuse the Robinhood app with Robinhood Chain, the blockchain that launched in July 2026. fomo supports Robinhood Chain, so memecoins launched on it are tradeable there, not in the Robinhood broker app.
Compared with fomo, Robinhood is the safer-feeling on-ramp for established memecoins and a familiar brokerage account. fomo is where you trade the newer coins, across six chains, from your own wallet.
Who it suits: people who only want a few large, established memecoins alongside stocks.

Mobile options we didn’t rank
Telegram trading bots such as Trojan, BONKbot and Maestro are how many people trade memecoins on a phone without an app. They are fast and packed with features, and some add copy trading and limit orders. The catch is custody: the bot creates your wallet and can access its keys, and CoinGecko’s own advice is to use a separate wallet with limited funds. You also fund them with crypto only.
Axiom and Photon are web terminals, not phone apps. Axiom has no official mobile app, and an App Store app called “Axiom: Social Trading” is by a different company.
BullX paused trading on 1 June 2026 and hasn’t said when it will return. Vector’s apps were shut down after Coinbase bought it. The Uniswap app is a fine wallet but doesn’t support Solana, where most memecoin trading happens.

Staying safe on a memecoin app
A few habits matter more than which app you pick:
- Install only from the App Store or Google Play and check the publisher. The fomo app is “fomo - never miss out” by FOMO Labs. Fake versions of popular crypto apps are common, and Jupiter, GMGN and Axiom all have look-alikes.
- Check the contract address, not just the ticker. Copycat tokens with the same name launch within minutes of a popular coin.
- Size small. Most memecoins lose most of their value, and many go to zero within a day.
- Know your exit before you buy. Run the numbers through our meme coin profit calculator to see how fees and slippage eat into a winning trade.
So which memecoin app should you download?
If you want one app for trading memecoins on your phone, get fomo. It is the only app here that combines an Apple Pay on-ramp, six chains from one balance with gas included, a self-custody wallet with no seed phrase to lose and a feed of what other traders are doing. That’s why it is number one here. The referral we earn is disclosed above and doesn’t change the reasoning.
If you mainly want a wallet, Phantom. If you want the simplest card-to-coin path on Solana, Moonshot. For Solana-only power tools, Jupiter Mobile. For launching coins, pump.fun. For many chains under a big brand, Coinbase Wallet or Trust Wallet. For a handful of blue-chip memecoins next to your stocks, Robinhood. The fomo app alternatives page has more comparisons.
Whatever you install, the odds don’t change: memecoin trading is high-risk speculation, most traders lose money, and this isn’t financial advice. Only trade what you can afford to lose completely.
Questions people ask
What is the best app to trade memecoins on a phone?
Our pick is the fomo app. It runs on iOS and Android, takes Apple Pay, trades across six chains from one balance with gas included, keeps you in control of your wallet without a seed phrase, and shows what other traders are buying.
What is the easiest way to buy a memecoin on my phone?
Install a mobile app that takes Apple Pay or a card, such as fomo or Moonshot, fund it, search the coin by name or contract address and confirm the trade. Check the contract address against the coin's own channels first, because copycat tokens are common.
Can I buy memecoins on Robinhood?
Yes, a curated list. Robinhood's US list includes DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, BONK, WIF, FLOKI, POPCAT, PNUT, PENGU, MOODENG, MEW and TRUMP, with some not available in New York. It is custodial and doesn't list new launches.
Is there an Axiom app for iPhone?
Not an official one. Axiom is a web terminal. An App Store app called 'Axiom: Social Trading' belongs to a different company. On a phone, Axiom users open axiom.trade in the browser.
Are memecoin trading apps safe?
The better ones make buying and selling cleaner, and some protect you from bots front-running your trades. None of them makes the coins safe. Most memecoins lose most of their value and most traders lose money.
