How to withdraw money from the fomo app

To withdraw money from the fomo app you sell your tokens back into your balance, then send that balance out. fomo’s FAQ says withdrawals to a bank arrive within 3 business days, that first-time withdrawals may need extra verification, and that large amounts may get extra review. Because the wallet is self-custody, you can also send crypto straight to an external wallet on the same chain, which does not depend on a bank at all.
That is the short answer to “can you withdraw from the fomo app”: yes, two ways. The rest of this page covers the steps, the timing fomo commits to, what fomo does not publish, and what to do when a sell fails.
Memecoin trading is high-risk speculation, not financial advice, and most people who trade memecoins lose money. The withdrawal path only matters if there is something left to withdraw, so size positions accordingly.
What fomo publishes about withdrawals
Not much, which is why the plan for this page is to stick to what fomo’s own FAQ says and flag everything else as unpublished. The FAQ commits to three things:
- Bank withdrawals “arrive within 3 business days”.
- First-time withdrawals may need extra verification.
- Large amounts may get extra review.
fomo does not publish the withdrawal fee, the minimum, the maximum, which chains you can withdraw to, or how network fees on a crypto withdrawal are handled. The withdraw screen inside the app is the only place those appear. Nothing on this page should be read as a limit fomo has set.
Step 1: sell the token into your balance
You cannot withdraw a memecoin to your bank. You withdraw dollars or a base asset, so the first step is always to sell.
Open the coin page for the token you hold and sell some or all of it. The proceeds land in your fomo balance, which is one balance across all the chains fomo supports. fomo charges its trading fee on the sell, about 0.45% for spot; the fees page covers what that costs.
If the sell goes through, move on. If you see an error, skip to the “failed to sell” section below.
Step 2: withdraw to a bank
fomo’s FAQ describes bank withdrawals and their timing. The general shape:
- Open the withdraw or cash out option from your balance.
- Choose the bank option.
- Add or select the bank account.
- Enter the amount and confirm.
fomo publishes the timing, not the screen-by-screen flow, so the labels and order may differ from this. Expect the first withdrawal to take longer than the “3 business days” figure implies, because fomo says first-time withdrawals may need extra verification. Signup on fomo does not require KYC, so identity checks, if they happen, happen at this point rather than when you join.
Large amounts may get extra review. fomo does not define “large”.
Step 2, the other way: withdraw crypto to an external wallet
fomo’s wallet is self-custody, powered by Privy, with no seed phrase to manage. The self-custody path to your money is to send crypto from fomo to a wallet you control elsewhere, such as Phantom on Solana.
The general shape:
- Open the withdraw or send option from your balance.
- Choose the crypto or external wallet option.
- Pick the asset and the chain. Send only on a chain the receiving wallet supports, and make sure the address you paste belongs to that chain. A Solana address will not receive an Ethereum transfer and there is no undo.
- Paste the address, enter the amount, check the network fee the screen shows, confirm.
fomo does not publish the exact flow, minimums or how it charges network fees on these sends. Read the confirmation screen closely. If the fee or the chain list looks different from what you expected, stop and ask fomo support before sending.
A crypto withdrawal arrives when the chain confirms it, which is usually minutes rather than days. If you plan to cash out through an exchange, this path plus a sale on the exchange is often faster than waiting on a bank transfer, though the exchange will have its own checks.

How long does a fomo app withdrawal take?
| Path | Timing | Who says so |
|---|---|---|
| Bank withdrawal | Within 3 business days | fomo FAQ |
| First bank withdrawal | Longer; extra verification possible | fomo FAQ |
| Large withdrawal | Longer; extra review possible | fomo FAQ |
| Crypto to external wallet | Chain confirmation time, typically minutes | General chain behaviour, not a fomo figure |
“Business days” excludes weekends and bank holidays, so a withdrawal requested on a Friday evening can reasonably land the following Wednesday or Thursday and still be inside fomo’s stated window.
“Failed to sell”: why it happens and what to try
A failed sell is the most common thing that blocks a withdrawal, and it is usually the token, not fomo. Three causes account for most cases.
The pool has too little liquidity. Memecoins often launch with a small pool, and once the early money leaves there may not be enough on the other side to absorb your sell. Check the pool on DexScreener or GeckoTerminal; if liquidity is a few thousand dollars and you are selling a large chunk of it, the trade may not fill.
The price moved past your slippage tolerance. Fast-moving tokens can change price between the moment you tap and the moment the chain processes it. If the fill would be worse than the tolerance allows, the trade reverts.
The chain is congested. Solana and Base both have busy periods when transactions drop or time out.
What to try, in order:
- Sell a smaller amount. Half, then half again. Small sells fill where large ones fail.
- Wait a minute and retry. Congestion and price spikes are usually short.
- If the app offers a slippage setting, raise it a little for this one sell. A higher tolerance means a worse price, so keep it as low as it will fill at.
- Check the pool. If liquidity has gone to near zero, the token may be effectively dead and no app will sell it for you.
- Check whether the chain itself is having problems. The fomo app not working page covers how to tell app issues from chain issues.
- Contact fomo support through Discord or X (@fomo). fomo lists no Telegram, so ignore anyone on Telegram claiming to be support.
Nobody at fomo can make a token with no buyers sell. That is a liquidity problem, and the only protection is to look at pool liquidity before you buy. The memecoin profit calculator includes a liquidity input for that reason.
Withdrawal limits and fees
fomo does not publish withdrawal limits or fees on fomo.family. The withdraw screen shows whatever applies at the time. This page will not guess at numbers, and any site that states a fixed fomo withdrawal limit without pointing to where fomo says it is guessing too.
Before you deposit, know the exit
The best time to read this page is before you fund the account. Knowing that the bank path takes up to 3 business days, that the first withdrawal may need verification, and that a self-custody send to your own wallet exists, changes how you size a trade. The deposit guide covers the way in, and the stop loss page covers selling in a way that leaves something to withdraw.
Questions people ask
Can you withdraw money from the fomo app?
Yes. fomo's FAQ describes withdrawals to a bank, and the wallet is self-custody, so you can also send crypto to an external wallet. Sell the token first, then withdraw from your balance.
How long does a fomo app withdrawal take?
fomo says bank withdrawals arrive within 3 business days. A crypto withdrawal to your own wallet lands once the chain confirms it. First-time and large withdrawals may take longer for verification.
Why does my first withdrawal need verification?
fomo's FAQ says first-time withdrawals may need extra verification and large amounts may get extra review. Signup has no KYC, so the check happens when money leaves rather than when you join.
How do I cash out on the fomo app to my bank?
Sell your tokens into your balance, open the withdraw screen, pick the bank option and follow the prompts. fomo publishes the timing, not the screen-by-screen steps, so the exact fields may differ.
Is there a minimum withdrawal on fomo?
fomo does not publish a minimum, a maximum or a withdrawal fee. The withdraw screen in the app is the only reliable place to see them.
What does failed to sell mean on fomo?
The sell order could not execute, usually because the pool has too little liquidity, the price moved past your slippage tolerance, or the chain is congested. Try a smaller amount or wait and retry.
